Weaver gets final start; Haren in flux for finale

Jered Weaver will make his final start of the season, as scheduled, on Friday night at Rangers Ballpark, but it has not been determined if Dan Haren will work the season finale on Sunday.

A’s fall from second place

ANAHEIM — Torii Hunter’s two-out single had barely hit the outfield grass when pink fireworks shot up from the fake rock pile at Angel Stadium. At least the Los Angeles Angels were able to finish up the home portion of their hugely disappointing season with a modest celebration.
